Professor William Harrop-Griffiths

William Harrop-Griffiths qualified as a doctor in 1981 from Oxford University and St Thomas’s Hospital, London. After training in London and the USA, he became a Consultant at St Mary’s Hospital in 1989. His clinical interests include obstetric and regional anaesthesia.

His current roles include:

• Vice-President of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA)
• Chair, RCoA Professional Standards Committee
• Chair, NHS Improvement’s National Safety Standards for Invasive Procedures Group
• Honorary Civilian Consultant Advisor in Anaesthetics to the Armed Forces
• Associate Editor of the journal Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine

Dr Mark Sacks

Mark Sacks MBChB, MSc, FRCA qualified in Cape Town in 1991 and became a Consultant Anaesthetist at St Mary’s Hospital in 2001.

He provides anaesthesia for a range of specialities including obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics and orthopaedic surgery within  Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and a range of other hospitals.

He holds a Masters degree in Healthcare Quality and Safety .

Dr Andrzej Con

Andrzej Con has 30 years of anaesthetic practice with a sub-speciality interest in  obstetric anaesthesia.

Dr Johanna Bray

Johanna Bray BMedSci, BM, BS, FRCA, is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Her special interest lies in obstetric anaesthesia, which she has been practising since 1996, but she provides anaesthetic services to wide range of other specialities including trauma and orthopaedics, gynaecology, general surgery and robotic cancer surgery.

She serves as the Anaesthetic Lead for Maternity Services at St Mary’s Hospital and is actively involved in risk management and quality control on the Labour Ward. Other interests lie in obstetric simulation team training.

She is a co-founder and longstanding member of Lindo Anaesthesia.

Dr Soo-Ming Lim

Dr Helgi Johannsson

Dr Helgi Johannsson qualified from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College in 1996, has been practising anaesthesia since 1999, and has worked at St Mary’s since 2007.

His interests include education, patient safety and social media for healthcare. He is a council member of the Royal College of Anaesthesia and Associate Medical Director ( Education ) Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

He is also a keen runner, cyclist and classical singer.

Dr Glenn Arnold

Attended Auckland Medical School, New Zealand. Anaesthetic training in Auckland and London. Consultant Anaesthetist since 2006 with interests in obstetrics, paediatrics, colorectal and trauma anaesthesia.

Dr Rachel Bartlett

Rachel Bartlett is a Consultant Anaesthetist at St Mary’s Hospital, part of Imperial College Healthcare Trust.  She qualified from The University of Sheffield in 1998 and trained in anaesthesia across London until taking a consultant post in 2013.

She is the Unit of Training Lead for anaesthetic trainees in her NHS work at St Mary’s.  Her interests include obstetric anaesthesia and anaesthesia for emergency surgery.

Dr Benjamin Graham

Ben Graham MBBS, BSc, FRCA, is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He qualified from King’s College London in 2001. He has been practising anaesthesia since 2003 and was appointed a Consultant at St Mary’s Hospital in 2011.

His clinical interests are paediatric anaesthesia, obstetric anaesthesia and anaesthesia for trauma patients. He is currently the Service Director for Theatres and Anaesthetics at St Marys Hospital.
