Professor William Harrop-Griffiths
William Harrop-Griffiths qualified as a doctor in 1981 from Oxford University and St Thomas’s Hospital, London. After training in London and the USA, he became a Consultant at St Mary’s Hospital in 1989. His clinical interests include obstetric and regional anaesthesia.
His current roles include:
- Vice-President of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA)
- Chair, RCoA Professional Standards Committee
- Chair, NHS Improvement’s National Safety Standards for Invasive Procedures Group
- Honorary Civilian Consultant Advisor in Anaesthetics to the Armed Forces
- Associate Editor of the journal Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine
